Slug Pellets (Metaldehyde) - Best Practice Warning
Traces of metaldehyde (the active ingredient contained in slug pellets) have been detected in raw water at levels above some EU statutory limits. Following a full consultation with the Water Industry, EA (Environment Agency) and PSD it was agreed that an industry-led voluntary approach should manage this issue – but they expect a result!
