New Pesticides Code
This month all NAAC members have received a CD copy of the new statutory code for agricultural and amenity spraying.
This has now come into force and, if you are using pesticides, you are strongly advised to look at the Code and ensure that you and your staff are familiar with its contents. As with the Highway Code, the this document could be used in a court of law against you.
This is particularly important for all amenity users as, for the first time, this sector of the industry must also comply.
The Pesticides Safety Directorate tell us that they are sending a hard copy to all Local Authorities in the UK to ensure that they are aware of their legal requirements. However, we can only wait and see if this makes any impact!
