Are tractors safe on the road?
A recent survey by the Health and Safety Executive has revealed that a jaw-dropping 68.6% of surveyed tractors and 56.3% of the trailed appliances had failed a roadworthiness test. It is now vital that the contracting industry proves that we are taking all precautions to make sure our vehicles are safe to go on the roads. To this end, the HSE has supplied the NAAC with information on tractor checks that is included in this month’s members’ Bulletin.
