Government listens to NAAC on notification of spraying
The UK Government is listening to the NAAC’s views on the notification of spraying and is taking a practical and rational approach in its dealings with the EU Thematic Strategy for Pesticides.
The Government has responded that it believes that notification of residents is best addressed at the local level through dialogue between farmers and residents, rather than blanket statutory obligations. This is good news and the NAAC is already working with Defra and the NFU to put together guidance for the industry and public on how this can be best achieved.
