Roger manages a family contracting business covering Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Established in 1955, the business provides an extensive range of services to meet the needs of their customers from single operations through to full farm contracts. Their modern machinery and equipment offers the latest in precision technology including yield mapping and variable rate fertiliser spreading & seed drilling.

Based in Shropshire, Robert runs an agricultural contracting business and AD plant. He is a long-standing and enthusiastic member of the NAAC.

Looking ahead and seeking new opportunities has been key to Oxfordshire-based contractor Charles Baker’s business and, as Chairman of the NAAC, his forward-thinking approach will be vital in tackling the current challenges facing the industry.

Mr Baker works closely with his children Christopher, Stephen and Jennie as they continue to grow the business, offering a vast range of services including contract farming, combining, silage, cultivations, crop protection, organic fertilisers, liquid waste management and agricultural recycling.

‘In my term, my aim is to significantly increase NAAC membership, as the best way to represent our sector is to have a strong and powerful voice,’ commented Mr Baker. ‘Inclusion in the political arena, particularly at this crucial point in agricultural history, is so important and I cannot emphasis enough to other contractors the importance of getting involved and pushing our sector in front of politicians and the Government.’

Matt established his business in early 2012 to provide contract spraying services to farmers in the Bedford area, the business has grown steadily in the past few years enabling it build on the contract services it offers, and more recently enter into farming in its own right.

The business now farms 240ha on FBT’s in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, along with providing a complete range of contracting services to farmers across both, and surrounding, counties.

2018 has seen further expansion of the contracting services, with the addition of a complete harvest service, which also enables full farm contracting to be undertaken.

Jim has been the NAAC Treasurer for several years and is Managing Director of B & W Feeds (Mobile) Ltd, an On-Farm Feeds specialist company providing a mobile service, products and technical support to farms throughout Southern England from depots in Dorset and Kent.  In addition they are the UK importers and distributors for the Buschhoff range of Mobile and Static feed mills.   Other divisions of the business group provide,  grain store cleaning and fumigation, plus arable and contract farming services.

Previous Chairman, Derbyshire contractor Martin Hays, will modestly tell you he is ‘just one of the lads’ but he is also well-respected amongst his peers. Straight talking and as down-to-earth as they come, Martin’s ‘factory-floor’ experience has rung true with many members.

Over the last twenty four years Mr Hays has built his business from scratch with nothing more than a burning passion for the industry and a strong desire to give customer satisfaction. He now farms 250 acres and offers an extensive range of contracting services, including muck and slurry, waste to land services, spraying, hedge-cutting and a complete arable package.

As Chief Executive Duncan spends three days per week at the NAAC, either in the office or attending meetings on member’s behalf. Duncan was born and bred in Norfolk, where he still lives and has worked in the agricultural industry all his life. His other passion is classic cars, owning two which he exercises regularly on events.

Membership & Marketing Manager

Louise is responsible for recruiting new and retaining existing NAAC members. She also markets the membership package, shows, social events and training workshops and will usually be your first port of call in the office for any queries. Louise has previously worked in the industry and her main hobby is breeding, showing and judging pedigree dogs.

NAAC Technical Adviser

Having worked for the NAAC for over 17 years, Jill is currently responsible for political representation, technical and transport issues, the NAAC’s Assured Land-Based Contractor Scheme and liaison with the press. Jill is a farmer’s daughter and is passionate about the industry.

In her spare time Jill can usually be found on a rugby touchline.
