Knowing the Road Rules
Large agricultural vehicles on the roads are highly visible, and a potential danger to other road users (and via versa!) and it is important that contractors are fully aware of road rules.
The NAAC employs a transport consultant for specific advice for members but more general guidance can be found in the members only area and below.
The NAAC has worked with the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) and National Farmers’ Union of Scotland (NFUS) in conjunction with the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) to provide the guidance below.
This is not legislation and is to be considered as guidance and will not necessarily be followed and enforced by each individual police force.
It does however provide a national guide specific to agriculture.
